FIFA World Cup Opening Ceremony Today

FIFA World Cup 2010 Opening Ceremony. FIFA World Cup South Africa is officially start today. After the pre-kick off concert held in Johannesburg yesterday. Popular artist Shakira, John Legend, Alicia Keys and the Black Eyed Peas performed at the event.

And today is the FIFA World Cup 2010 opening day. Nelson Mandela will be personally opening the event, and more than 1,500 performers will be present for the ceremony. The ceremony expected to last upwards of three hours, to be immediately followed by the opening match between South Africa and Mexico, which kicks off at 4:00 pm at Soccer City Stadium in Johannesburg (7:00 am PST).
